Speaking at The Highland Fling

The cat is out of the bag, I'm speaking at The Highland Fling.

This year the Fling is operating the theme "back to basics" and I'll be speaking about HTML5. Unfortunately I can't give too much away right now, so you'll just have to keep your eyes peeled.

I'm extremely excited to be given the opportunity to take to the same stage as some of our industries most respected people, people whom I look up to and people whos sites I have visited religiously since I started my further education six years ago. If I'm being completely honest, it's all a bit surreal. My fellow speakers probably scanned down the list on the website when it launched, got to mine and thought "who is this guy?".

Another thing which I am incredibly excited about is the fact that Scotland finally has its conference back up and running. The Fling was Scotlands first web conference and it has been three years since the event last ran. Sure we've had a few events up here like Carsonified tours but they aren't really the same. We need something in Scotland to act as a base for people who work in the industry and people who are looking to get into it.
